Have you ever recieved a disk full of art from a client, had to make edits on the file only to find it's locked? You go to unlock the file only to find out that all the files with the job are locked. FileUnlocker has the answer for you. It unlocks all folders and files that are dropped onto its icon. So now you don't have to open the info window for each file to make it available for editing. CardImpoCS and CardImpoCS2
I work a lot with InDesign. I use it for layout, design and imposition. I use a lot of templates for imposition and many of them are for small items such as business cards and small labels. CardImpo helps you use your templates in the quickest manner possible. Just set up your template, place the art you need to impose in one of the frames on the page, make sure it is in the exact position your wish it to be, copy it to the clipboard (Command + C) and run either CardImpoCS (for you InDesign CS users out there or CardImpoCS2 (for those of you with the Creative Suite 2 version) and the rest of your frames will be filled with the placed art.

CardImpo works on one spread at a time. It only works with rectangle frames, and does not work on grouped objects.

You can run CardImpo from any location, but I installed it in the Scripts folder in InDesign (Applications/InDesign/Presets/Scripts) so you can access CardImpo in the Script panel (open the scripts panel in the menu under Window>Scripting>Scripts). Then CardImpo is accessible in InDesign whenever you need it.

CardImpo is offered as an open source AppleScript as is with no support or guarantee. Feel free to make any changes to the script to customize if for your own workflow. I do ask, if you find this script useful, or make any changes, that you please share your successes (or failures) with me so that we can make CardImpo better. All new additions will be credited to the contributing author.

And, if you want to extend your InDesign Scripting ability, you must visit AppleScript InDesign.

FRDragActivator
I wrote this script to speed up importing fonts into my font management method of choice, Font Reserve. Simply drag your fonts onto the icon and the script adds them to your Font Reserve Database according to your set preferences.

The script has been tested on OS 10.3 and 10.4. Use the script at your own risk, but I have been using it for months with no ill effects.

FRDragActivator is offered as an open source AppleScript as is with no support or guarantee. Feel free to make any changes to the script to customize if for your own workflow. I have tweaked this code several times for various clients. I do ask, if you find this script useful, or make any changes, that you please share your successes (or failures) with me so that we can make FRDragActivator better.
